{"id":4557,"date":"2024-04-30T15:18:07","date_gmt":"2024-04-30T05:18:07","guid":{"rendered":"\/eu-uk\/?p=4557"},"modified":"2024-06-28T11:58:25","modified_gmt":"2024-06-28T01:58:25","slug":"remplir-nerve-repair-study-published-in-peer-reviewed-clinical-journal","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"\/eu-uk\/blog\/2024\/04\/30\/remplir-nerve-repair-study-published-in-peer-reviewed-clinical-journal\/","title":{"rendered":"Remplir\u2122 nerve repair study published in peer-reviewed clinical journal"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Orthocell has announced that results from the Remplir\u2122 nerve regeneration clinical trial have been published in a high profile clinical journal.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The study, showing nerve repair with Remplir following injury to the spinal cord, brachial plexus and other peripheral upper limb nerves consistently restores arm and hand function, was published in the Journal of Reconstructive Microsurgery Open (JRMO), a peer-reviewed journal renowned for sharing advances in nerve reconstructive techniques and regeneration.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Key findings from the study include:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Peripheral nerve repair clinical study showed consistent return of muscle function to paralysed upper limbs, following nerve repair with Remplir\u2122.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Results showed 85% (23 of 27) of nerve repairs with Remplir, at 24 months post treatment, resulted in functional recovery of muscles controlled by the repaired nerve.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Orthocell Chief Scientific Officer, Professor Minghao Zheng, said:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cThis study validated Remplir\u2019s unique mechanism of action mimicking the native structure of epineurium, providing a protective barrier and neurotrophic microenvironment for nerve regeneration. Remplir\u2019s unique biological characteristics underpinned the consistent return of function to paralysed upper limbs, the primary goal in this study.
