{"id":3807,"date":"2022-09-29T09:30:25","date_gmt":"2022-09-28T23:30:25","guid":{"rendered":"\/eu-uk\/?p=3807"},"modified":"2022-09-29T17:04:41","modified_gmt":"2022-09-29T07:04:41","slug":"ortho-ati-shoulder-tendon-study-update","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"\/eu-uk\/blog\/2022\/09\/29\/ortho-ati-shoulder-tendon-study-update\/","title":{"rendered":"Ortho-ATI\u2122 Shoulder Tendon Study Update"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Orthocell has today shared positive results from the crossover extension arm of our randomised clinical trial examining the performance of our OrthoATI\u2122 therapy in the treatment of rotator cuff tendon injuries, compared to a steroid injection.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Previously released results demonstrated that OrthoATI\u2122 showed superior outcomes compared with corticosteroid injection for treating rotator cuff tendinopathy with intrasubstance tendon tear. This additional data, which allowed patients previously randomised to receive a corticosteroid injection to \u201ccrossover\u201d to OrthoATI\u2122 treatment after a lack of response, further supports these original results.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Key outcomes of the study include:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">82% of participants in the corticosteroid arm elected to crossover to OrthoATI\u2122, and on average experienced almost complete pain resolution at 6 months post\u2013treatment.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The crossover group experienced clinically important improvements in shoulder function at 6 months following OrthoATI\u2122 treatment<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">No participants in the crossover group required additional treatment in the 12-month follow up period.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Orthocell Managing Director, Paul Anderson, said:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><em><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cThis is an important validation for OrthoATI\u2122 and the Company.
