{"id":2753,"date":"2021-12-08T08:34:23","date_gmt":"2021-12-07T22:34:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/orthocell.com\/us\/?p=2753"},"modified":"2021-12-14T10:10:09","modified_gmt":"2021-12-14T00:10:09","slug":"positive-clinical-results-for-orthoati","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"\/americas\/positive-clinical-results-for-orthoati\/","title":{"rendered":"Positive clinical results for OrthoATI\u2122"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.orthocell.com\/us.au\/\">Orthocell<\/a> (ASX $OCC)<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0has today released positive clinical data for its OrthoATI\u2122 tendon program, which shows that OrthoATI\u2122 is statistically more effective than the current standard of care (corticosteroid injection) for treatment of rotator cuff tendinopathy with intrasubstance tendon tear.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Key outcomes of the study include:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">95% (18 of 19) of participants at 12 months post OrthoATI\u2122 treatment reported resolution of pain and return of functional mobility to treated shoulder<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Participants receiving corticosteroids had no meaningful improvement in function, and only a transient improvement in pain, peaking at month 3 before returning to pre-treatment levels<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">64% (7 of 11) of corticosteroid participants withdrew early from the study due to treatment failure. Of these early withdrawals, 86% (6 of 7) requested and received OrthoATI\u2122 treatment due to ongoing pain and loss of shoulder function<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Leading Australian orthopaedic surgeon and clinical trial lead, Dr Allan Wang, commented:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cThe rotator cuff trial results are very encouraging.
